Transition Year Camping Trip – GASICE Adventure!
Transition Year students are busy preparing for an exciting overnight adventure – our camping trip to the Wicklow Mountains as part of the GASICE award. This trip is all about challenge, teamwork, and stepping outside our comfort zones.
We’ll be hiking through the Wicklow hills, braving whatever weather comes our way (rain gear and sunscreen both packed just in case!). The camping experience promises plenty of laughs, late-night chats, and maybe even a singalong or two… hint, hint, Sara!
The trip is not just about fun – it’s also a chance to discover our strengths (and maybe a few weaknesses!) as we cook, camp, and work together in the great outdoors. It will definitely test our teamwork and resilience, but we’re ready for the challenge.
Of course, we won’t be alone. Our fabulous teachers – Ms Gilheany, Ms Thornton, and Ms Behan – will be guiding us and cheering us on every step of the way. Rumour has it they may have comfier cabins to stay in… which doesn’t sound very fair, but we’ll forgive them (maybe!).
We’re really looking forward to making memories, learning new skills, and sharing an unforgettable adventure with our friends. Roll on the Wicklow Mountains!
