Think Languages Week Takes Off at Rockford Manor!
It’s that time of year again—Think Languages Week has officially begun, and excitement is buzzing around every corridor of Rockford Manor! Our students are set to dive into a world of words, culture, and curiosity as they sample new languages, including the wonderfully quirky and musical Czech.
One of the highlights of the week will be our trip to UCD, where students will get a real taste of what studying languages at third level is like. From discovering new academic paths to exploring campus life, it’s sure to be an inspiring day for all budding linguists.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Throughout the week, students will take part in workshops, quizzes, and hands-on activities, all designed to spark a love of languages and open doors to global thinking.
Culture Day – The Big Celebration!
On Wednesday, Rockford Manor will burst into full colour for our annual Culture Day. It’s a celebration of the rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and ethnicities that make our school community so special. Traditional dress, music, stories, and more will fill the school with energy and pride.
And… let’s be honest… we know what everyone is really thinking about:
the food.
Yes, this year we may even get to sample tasty treats from around the world! Just follow the delicious smells... (Everyone remembers where Ms Kidney's room is right? Don’t forget to drop into her —especially if you’re carrying treats!)
