Rockford Manor is hosting an Open Night on Thursday, Sept. 26th from 7.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
On the evening you can hear from our Principal Mr. Tony Collison, meet our staff and students, view our facilities and see what’s happening in Rockford Manor.
All are welcome to attend and we look forward to seeing you on the evening.
A special mention to Roxana Pohodnicaru who attended CodePlus in January.
From the start Roxana was extremely engaged and motivated to learn about computer science and coding. She was invited to participate in the annual CodePlus Hackathon week in April and her team won the CodePlus “Spirit of the year” award for their work on the programme alongside girls from St. Louis Rathmines.
As part of her prize Roxana has secured a scholarship to an advanced one week Computer Science camp and internship in Trinity College “InvenT Week” alongside students from across the country this Summer.
The CodePlus team were delighted to have Rockford Manor participate in the programme for the first time this year and hope to continue a partnership with the school in the coming years to promote female interest in computing and computer science careers.
Roxana really impressed the team in Trinity and we’re delighted she and her fellow students are flying the Rockford Manor flag for us. She is a credit to the school. The scholarship is worth about €500.
