Activities

Education at Rockford Manor School is not confined to the academic development of the individual pupil. The variety of activities undertaken in a school year are intended to provide each pupil with a well rounded education.

An extensive and varied programme is offered, and pupils participate in a wide range of activities through regular P.E. classes. The school has competed successfully with schools throughout Leinster in Basketball, Badminton, Athletics and Bowling. After-school activities include short courses in self-defence, cross-country running, dancing and outdoor pursuits.

Sports are important for the physical and emotional well being of any individual and as such are an integral part of school life. The variety of sports on offer at the school are listed for your information on the site.

Music is at the heart of Rockford Manor. The award winning choir at the school gives great joy, not only to those who hear it, but also to those who participate in it.

Art is another important pursuit in the school, with many talented and gifted students continuing to NACD and successful careers in art, fashion and design. 

Charity work reflects the Christian ethos of the school and helps students to think in terms of the wider community. Pupils undertake various projects during their time at Rockford that not only benefit the recipients of their endeavours but also foster team spirit and acknowledge the talents and skills of the pupils themselves.

School trips are opportunities for active learning. Pupils have the chance to experience things in a way that might never have been afforded to them. In the past they have been privileged to enjoy the delights of skiing, marvel at the beauty of the garden of Ireland and revisit the horrors of history at the Polish concentration camps
